The Overland Park Farmers Market kicks off it’s 44th year on April 18th.  It’s been nationally recognized by the American Farmland Trust and Farmers Market Coalition as one of the Top markets in the nation.

We were accepted as vendors in the fall of 2020, when the market was set up at Matt Ross Community Center.  Since then it’s been moved back and forth for different reasons.

2020, 2021 - Matt Ross during the lock downs to spread vendors out

2022, 2023, 2024 - Overland Park Pavilion

2025 - Matt Ross due to the construction of the Clock Tower Landing

2026 - Matt Ross initially then home upon the completion of the Clock Tower Landing

Despite all the moving around the market  remains true to its solid foundation of providing quality products grown/raised all within a 120 mile radius. The selection is wide and full of meaning.  Every vendor has a story, their “why” they do what they do.  Simply ask them what their practices are, what led them on this path and they’ll tell you.  The vendors are people serving people, it’s exclusively a farmers market motto.

Our first market experience was in our hometown Louisburg in the summer of 2019, a big thanks to our friends Anthony & Priya for encouraging us to participate.  We did a second year in Louisburg in 2020 but had our sights on the Overland Park Farmers Market. The OPFM has been a tremendous opportunity for Five Mile Farms.  We are very thankful to have been invited back to the OPFM for the 2026 season, marking our 8th market season.

The word keeps getting out pastured chicken tastes different in the most mouth watering and wonderful way.  We are ecstatic about the 2026 market season!  We sincerely invite you to come out and visit the market to connect in person.

Warm regards,

Ileana
