Are you looking forward to the market season of 2025?! I know I am!

We have been vendors at the overland park farmers market since the fall of 2020. This year will be our 5th full year. Before we started popping our tent in overland park, we were vendors at the Louisburg Frmers Market. We had a wonderful experience at the Louisburg Farmers Market, it was small with about 15 vendors. We, as 6, 9, and 10 year olds, acquired multiple honorary grandmas, and enjoyed the community interaction on a weekly basis. As you may know, we have always prioritized making the farmers market a fun family experience for us, by only doing one market at a time, and going as a family whenever possible. Even before we had a farm, we shopped at the OPFM. My sister and I always looked forward to the days we could shop there with our mom.

Due to the lockdowns, the market, when we started, took place in the parking lot of Matt Ross Community Center, this space was open and spread over both parking lots. We even were lucky enough to be placed next to a beautiful tree. We, along with other first time vendors, loved this space. In the spring of 2022 we were all moved back to the pavilion location, and were arranged openly around the parking lot. We have been in the same spot for all three of our vending years at the OPFM. This year, however, we will be set up at Matt Ross again. This is due to the Farmers Market improvement project construction. This project will add exciting additions to the market such as more setting and shade, and indoor vending and event spaces.

We have many favorites to buy at the market, as it offers so many things. We like to start our Saturday morning with a treat. Some we especially love are chocolate croissants, cookies, and donuts. And for those who prefer drinks, Anna's Bakery makes the best hot cocoa ever, along with splendid coffee. As the morning latens, we'll opt for some tacos and kombucha. We are already making a list of what we want to take home on opening day! This year I will try to plant a garden but as I don't do well with seeds, I will be getting some seedlings from Sullivans Greenhouse. We have also missed Mr. Hemme’s cheese curds, and will be picking some up, plus a restock of seasonings. We are so looking forward to the 2025 Overland Park Farmers market season and hope to see you there too!
